FAQ — Your Admin Friend

Question 1

What is a virtual assistant?

Accepted Answer

A virtual assistant is a remote professional who handles administrative, organisational and lifestyle tasks on your behalf. All work is carried out remotely, so there's no need for a physical presence — just seamless, reliable support delivered wherever you are.

Question 2

Who is Your Admin Friend for?

Accepted Answer

Your Admin Friend supports both business clients — including entrepreneurs, business owners and busy professionals — and personal clients who want to reclaim time and have the details of daily life handled with care. If you're feeling overwhelmed by admin, we're here to help.

Question 3

How do I get started?

Accepted Answer

Simply get in touch via the Contact page. We'll have a no-obligation conversation to understand what you need, and put together a package tailored to your situation. There's no commitment required to have that initial chat.

Question 4

Is everything kept confidential?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely. Discretion is one of our core values. Everything shared with us — whether personal or professional — is treated with the utmost confidentiality. We never share client information with third parties.

Question 5

What kinds of business tasks can you help with?

Accepted Answer

We can assist with a wide range of business admin tasks including email and calendar management, appointment booking, travel planning, customer support and social media posting. The exact scope depends on your package — get in touch to discuss what you need.

Question 6

Do I need to provide access to my accounts?

Accepted Answer

For most tasks, yes — we'll need appropriate access to the tools and accounts involved (such as your email, calendar or social media). All access is handled securely and can be revoked at any time. We only ever request the level of access needed to carry out the agreed tasks.

Question 7

Can you work with my existing tools and software?

Accepted Answer

In most cases, yes. We're experienced with a wide range of business tools and can adapt to the platforms you already use. If there's something specific you rely on, just mention it when you get in touch and we'll confirm whether we can support it.

Question 8

What's the difference between the Essential, Premium and Executive packages?

Accepted Answer

Each tier builds on the last. Essential covers foundational admin — email, calendar and light data entry. Premium adds appointment booking, customer support and travel comparison. Executive includes everything in Premium, plus travel booking and social media posting. All packages are discussed and priced individually based on your workload and requirements.

Question 9

What kinds of personal tasks can you help with?

Accepted Answer

Personal support covers life admin and organisation, appointment coordination, lifestyle management, travel and event planning, gift and personal shopping, and calendar management. The Bespoke package offers the most comprehensive level of support — see the Packages page for a full breakdown.

Question 10

How does personal shopping work?

Accepted Answer

You tell us what you're looking for — whether it's a gift, a specific item or a general brief — and we'll research options, make recommendations and, where agreed, handle the purchase on your behalf. Everything is done to your preferences and budget.

Question 11

Can you help with one-off tasks, or is it ongoing support only?

Accepted Answer

We primarily offer ongoing support packages, as this allows us to build a thorough understanding of your preferences and needs. However, if you have a specific one-off requirement, do get in touch and we'll see what we can do.

Question 12

How much does it cost?

Accepted Answer

All pricing is bespoke and discussed on enquiry. There are no fixed rates because every client's needs are different — the cost depends on the scope, frequency and level of support required. Get in touch for a no-obligation conversation and a tailored quote.

Question 13

Are there contracts or minimum commitments?

Accepted Answer

This is something we discuss during the initial consultation. We aim to be as flexible as possible while ensuring we can deliver consistent, high-quality support. Details will be outlined clearly before any agreement is made.

Question 14

Can I change my package over time?

Accepted Answer

Yes. As your needs evolve, your package can be adjusted accordingly. We'll review things together and make sure the level of support continues to fit your situation.
